In the event of a larger group of pupils isolating lessons will be posted on here to minimise the impact on their learning while they are not able to attend school and have face to face lessons.
These lessons are based on those which would have been delivered in school. They have been recorded by the class teachers to allow for a more bespoke experience. The lessons are designed to be watched and listened to on a laptop, tablet or smart phone. There is no need to print any of the work as all tasks can be written by the child in their home learning book which was sent home earlier this year.
Upon their return teachers will review this learning to inform next steps for the child.
Your teacher will have contacted year 6 about how they can access the exact learning being delivered in class this week. They have shared a link to a google drive which can be accessed if your child is not in school. It must be a generic email address used to access this not a school account.
If you require assistance in any way please contact your child's teacher on:
peru@gilesjm.herts.sch.uk
germany@gilesjm.herts.sch.uk
india@gilesjm.herts.sch.uk
Please be mindful that your child's class teacher may be unwell, or teaching in school so will reply as soon as they are able.
Weekly assemblies will also be posted below so your child can view this along with the rest of the school.

The results of the survey were that 70% of families would like screen free Friday to continue. We will review this when we have further information about schools reopening. Therefore Friday 26th February and Friday 5th March will be Screen Free and families can feel free to select from the menu available on the PowerPoint PDF posted below.
If you have got to grips with Seesaw we are now posting daily activities directly onto this platform so there is no need for you to use website unless this is your preference. This has the benefit that teachers can check in on a specific subject all in one go which makes the feedback easier to give as well as making overall assessment more effective from the teacher's perspective. We are contuing to post activites on the website while some families get Seesaw up and running. Click on the image where the basic steps to access and post learning in this way are explained.
