It is important for us to share the successes of all pupils at Giles Junior School.
Every week, each class teacher and teaching assistant identify a child who has shown good leadership skills through applying the 7 Habits. This child is announced during Thursday’s assembly and they are given a leadership certificate. Their picture is displayed in the school hall, for the week, to celebrate their success.
We are aware that a number of our children have successes outside school and we like to celebrate these with them by adding a piece in the school newsletter. If you child has a success you would like us to share, please speak to their class teacher or the school office.
At the end of each term, the class teacher reward pupils with merits for continued hard work within subjects. Parents, of children receiving merits, will be invited to attend the assembly where these will be presented.
