St Albans Cathedral Trip - Year 5

NORMAL SCHOOL TIME ARRVAL - The coach will be leaving at 9:00am following the register and intend to return before the end of the school day. St Albans Cathedral Trip – Year 5 is an exciting opportunity for our pupils to explore one of the UK’s most historic landmarks. The visit will support learning across the curriculum by encouraging children to observe, ask questions, and connect what they learn in class with real places and artefacts. We are committed to ensuring the day is both educational and enjoyable, with clear expectations and appropriate supervision throughout.

During the trip, children will have the chance to learn about the Cathedral’s history, architecture, and significance to the local community. They will take part in guided activities designed for primary-aged learners, helping them build new knowledge while developing confidence in how they behave in a public heritage site. Parents can be reassured that our staff will provide support and guidance, and we will ensure the children understand what to do and where to go before we begin.

Please ensure your child comes prepared for the day in line with the information provided by school. This includes wearing suitable clothing and footwear for walking, bringing any required items, and following guidance regarding packed lunches or refreshments. If you have any questions about the trip, please contact the school office or the Year 5 team so we can help. We look forward to sharing this memorable experience with your child.
