Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw
This habit is about looking after yourself so you can do your best in all areas of life. It teaches us the importance of regularly taking time to recharge our bodies, minds, hearts, and spirits—just like you need to sharpen a saw to keep it cutting well. While it is the 7th Habit - we consider this Habit the most important and it encompasses all other Habits. If you don't engage with Habit 7 it will make all the other Habits difficult to fulfill.
Sharpening your saw might include:
Body: Eating healthily, exercising, and getting enough sleep.
Mind: Learning new things, reading, and being curious.
Heart: Spending time with friends and family, showing kindness, and caring for others.
Spirit: Doing things that give you joy, like hobbies, nature, or reflection.
When we take care of ourselves in all these ways, we feel more balanced, focused, and ready to handle challenges.
Miss Robinson and Miss Sewell are producing some videos to help offer some practical ways to Sharpen Your Saw - these can be found to the right of this text. We hope you will enjoy watching them.
