Leader in Me

Giles Junior School have been embedding Leader in Me since 2012.  Mrs Davies, the previous headteacher introduced this to the school and since that time the school was accredited by Franklin Covey in 2018 and received Lighthouse Status. 

As a Lightouse school we attract visitors from all over the globe to come and see how we have translated this learning concept into our curriculum and across the school.

At Giles Junior School, we use the 7 Habits, from The Leader in Me. These highly effective habits teach our children 21st century leadership and life skills, which develops the children’s confidence and ability to become independent. We believe that everyone can be a leader!

We believe the children should have ownership for their own learning and have introduced child-led parent meetings.
