Music

"The magic of music is that it brings people together regardless of their backgrounds or differences." - Rory Gallagher

At Giles Junior School, music contributes to a broad and balanced music provision for all pupils and is taught as part of the National Curriculum. It will outline the purpose, nature and management of how music is taught in our school and will inform new teachers of expectations. Music is an important part of our school curriculum and is taught relevant to the child’s stage of development and experience. It is a universal language that embodies one of the highest forms of creativity. A high-quality music education should engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians, and so increase their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement.
