Science Ambassadors

“Play is the highest form of research.” - Albert Einstein.

At Giles Junior School, we aim to support our children in developing their scientific knowledge through carefully planned exciting Science opportunities. Our children are not only at the centre of our curriculum but also play an important role in the promotion and development of Science across the school.

In order to further develop Science at Giles, we have introduced Science Ambassadors across the school. Each year group will have a Science Ambassador with the role being passed on to a peer on a termly basis.

A Giles Science Ambassador Responsibilities will include:

  • Half termly meetings with Mr Gray to discuss the ways we can improve Science.
  • Carry out pupil voice and interviews with pupils about Science.
  • Meet with new students and discuss Science at Giles.
  • Assist visitors around the school and discuss Science at Giles
  • Engaging families by recording and reporting on Science at Giles.
  • Collaboratively organising and running Science activities across the school.
  • Collaboratively organising and choosing winners for Science competitions.

Keep up to date with all things Science from our Science Ambassadors at the 'Science at Giles' page on the school website.
